國外專家對預防豬流感的建議

不想打國光H1N1疫苗的人,可參考國外專家建議的方法,避免感染H1N1!

1. 經常洗手。
2. 儘量不要用手去觸摸臉部的任何部位,除了要吃東西、洗澡或打人時;也不要讓人摸臉。
3. 每天用溫鹽水(或李施德林藥水)漱口喉嚨兩次,可抑制H1N1病毒在喉嚨及鼻腔的複製。
4. 每天用棉花棒沾溫鹽水清洗鼻孔至少一次,亦可抑制H1N1病毒在喉嚨及鼻腔的複製。
5. 多吃含維他命C的食物,以增加自然免疫力(同時亦可以美白皮膚);若吃維他命C片劑,要選擇含有鋅(Zinc),以促進吸收。
6. 儘量多喝溫水,可將H1N1病毒沖入胃內,使其消滅、無法複製或導致其他傷害。

★說到維他命C,台灣柳丁生產過剩,正好可以買來吃;其他含維他命C的食物有,牛蒡、草莓、蘋果、檸檬、提子乾、士多啤梨、芒果、柿子、奇異果、西瓜、木瓜、菠蘿、香蕉、葡萄柚、蜜柑、番石榴、荔枝、蜜瓜、番茄、綠茶、日本芥末(Wasabi) 、苦瓜、青椒、花椰菜、馬鈴薯、蕃薯、綠葉蔬菜.....。

★人體內所庫存的維他命C約有1,500 mg,每天約消耗流失3~4 %的庫存,故一般成人每天只要攝取約60 mg維他命C即可,況且食物中即已含維他命C;維他命C片劑的含量若是500 ~ 1,000 mg,人體無法吸收那麼大量的維他命,雖然多餘的都會從尿液排掉,但也可能會造成尿路結石及增加腎臟負擔。

The following message given by him, I feel makes a lot of sense and is important for all of you to know...

The only portals of entry of the HiNi virus are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible not coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Contact with H1N1 is not so much of a problem as proliferation is.

While you are still healthy and not showing any symptoms of H1N1 infection, in order to prevent proliferation, aggravation of symptoms and development of secondary infections, some very simple steps, not fully highlighted in most official communications, can be practiced (instead of focusing on how to stock N95 or Tamiflu):

1. Frequent hand-washing (well highlighted in all official communications). This is not a joke. Make it a ritual habit... make it part of your daily routine... DO NOT BE LAZY...!!!

2. "Hands-off-the-face" approach. Resist all temptations to touch any part of face (unless you want to eat, bathe or slap).

3. *Gargle twice a day with warm salt water (use Listerine if you don't trust salt). *H1N1 takes 2-3 days after initial infection in the throat/ nasal cavity to proliferate and show characteristic symptoms. Simple gargling prevents proliferation. In a way, gargling with salt water has the same effect on a healthy individual that Tamiflu has on an infected one. Don't underestimate this simple, inexpensive and powerful preventative method.

4. Similar to 3 above, *clean your nostrils at least once every day with warm salt water. *Not everybody may be good at Neti, but *blowing the nose hard once a day and swabbing both nostrils with cotton buds dipped in warm salt water is very effective in bringing down viral population.*

5. *Boost your natural immunity with foods that are rich in Vitamin C (Amla and other citrus fruits). *If you have to supplement with Vitamin C tablets, make sure that it also has Zinc to boost absorption.

6.* Drink as much of warm liquids as you can. *Drinking warm liquids has the same effect as gargling, but in the reverse direction. They wash off proliferating viruses from the throat into the stomach where they cannot survive, proliferate or do any harm.
